Jennifer Adams (Hampton) Derrick passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 12th, 2014 in Kennewick, WA. Jennifer was born in Kennewick on April 7th, 1957, the 5th child, to John and Edyth Hampton and was a Tri-City resident her entire life. She obtained her GED at Columbia Basin College, worked at the Pasco Pancake House, Red Apple Deli, at Kennewick Life Care for a number of years as a CNA and spent 10 years as a caregiver for her mother and father. She enjoyed following the Mariners and the Seahawks and taking walks especially with her adored fur niece 'Marlee.' Jennifer will be remembered for her caring nature and love for all creatures, particularly dogs. She is preceded in death by her parents, nephew Zachary Hiner, niece Erin (Hampton) Rosane and her beloved German Shepherd Hunter. She is survived by her daughter Jessica (Jerrad) McDonald, best friend Rick Lewis, brother John (Shelley) Hampton Jr., sisters: Janice (Frank) Hampton-Case, Julia (John) Schmidt, Judith (Bob Pierson) Hampton, ex-husband Kenneth Derrick and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held at a later date.
