Jason D. Barnett left this world unexpectedly on March 16, 2023, at the age of 44. His family is comforted by the fact that he knew he was loved during his time here on earth and is now reunited in heaven with his beloved buddy Maverick "aka Mavey".

Jason has a long list of attributes—he was unbelievably smart, quick-witted, loving, and athletic. His younger years were spent on South Sharon Street in Kennewick, which still has a few battle scars from the Barnett, Moen, Mitchell, Ramirez, and Stephens kids. His teen years were consumed by baseball, where we will all remember the dynamic duo of Brooksie and Barney. Jason enjoyed hunting, golfing, poker, and a serious game of scrabble or cribbage. He was a true competitor; everything he did, he wanted to excel at and took seriously. It gives friends and family something to laugh about as we reminisce and share stories.

In the past six years, he created a family with his beloved fiancé, Nichole Reynolds, who mothered his fur babies, Maverick, Vader, KiKi, and Mr. Fuzzy Nuts. He leaves behind an extended family that grew over the years: father Larry, mother Kathy, stepfather Steve Shoemaker, brothers Michael & Chris, sister-in-law Christie, niece Ryan, and nephew Tanner.

Jason will be missed by many in ways that cannot be expressed and will leave a void in our world. He was a brilliant, complicated man, while his love for his family and friends is unquestioned. Jason recently texted, "I love all 3 of my parents. I am so lucky. And I have the best cousins
