Jane Frances Malin was born August 3rd, 1936 to Franklin and Ruth Muehring in Hannibal, MO. She passed away unexpectedly at home on August 26th, 2014. She graduated from Kelso High School in Kelso, Washington in 1954. In 1969 she moved from Portland, OR to Kennewick with her husband Dave and their two daughters. She and Dave moved back to the Portland/Vancouver area in 1979. In 1985 Jane and Dave, along with 7 business partners formed the first of two successful businesses, Western States Electric, and 10 years later, Carlson Sales. Following retirement in 2003, they wintered in Mazatlan, Mexico where they created many new friendships through golf and social gatherings. They were members of the Orchard Hills Country Club in Washougal, WA and EI Cid Golf Resort in Mexico. Jane loved playing golf in both Ladies Clubs. After Dave's death in 2010 she moved back to Kennewick to be near her daughter. She was residing at Parkview Estates at the time of her passing. She loved playing pinochle, bridge, and cribbage with everyone! She was just learning to play Texas Hold'em. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dave, and brother Brian Muehring. She is survived by her sister Willi Turner (Everett) of Vancouver, WA., daughters, Carey Brandt (Lowell) of Richland, WA and Traci Eckroth (Darryl) of Auburn, WA., grandchildren: Andrew Brandt (Kelly), Kellie Beck (Tony), and Elynora Eckroth, and her great-grandchildren: Riley, Alexis, and Hayes. Family and friends are invited to a celebration open house of Jane's life at the Brandt home, 410 Golden Drive in Richland on Friday, October 3rd from 3pm-6pm.
