Jane Claire Yelenc, Kennewick, Washington, passed away on April 2, 2015. Jane was born in Leadville, Colorado on June 28, 1918. She graduated from Leadville High School in in 1936 and was married to Anthony Yelenc in 1937. They were married for 25 years until Anthony passed away in 1962. Jane worked for the Kennewick School District and retired in the early 1990's. She spent many years working as a volunteer at Trios, then Kennewick General Hospital, and St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was a lady of great wit with a compassionate heart. She enjoyed her many friends and led a very active life. Jane is preceded in death by her parents Maybelle and Jim Sweeney; her husband, Anthony Yelenc; sisters, Marguerite Crookham, Maybelle Leece, Genevieve Pierce and Arva Kendrick. Jane is survived by her daughter, Carla Faust; grandson, Dan Klepper (Sheri); great-granddaughters, Caitlin Klepper and Chelsey Klepper; and Dana Klepper; along with many loving nieces and nephews. A Requiem mass will be said in her honor on Saturday, April 11, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Chapel, Kennewick, Washington and graveside service on Monday, April 13, 20015 at 3:30 p.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
