James Ellis Dixon

James Ellis Dixon was born on August 14th, 1927, in Cyprus Tennessee and died on March 23rd, 2022, in his home in Finley, WA. He grew up in Arkansas until he enlisted in the Army at the end of World War II. He also served in Korea. He lived for a short time in Kansas City MO. He then moved to California and met his Wife of 64 years. He owned a service station in Sacramento California. In 1967 he moved his family to Kennewick Washington and operated Dixon's Chevron Service in Richland for many years. In Retirement he raised cattle plus had a huge garden with the best tomatoes. He is survived by his wife Allison and daughter Janet Adams (Mark) Kansas City, MO, Wanda Dixon Finley Washington, and Lonnie Dixon (Molly) Mallot, WA. He is also survived by 7 grand children and 4 great grandchildren. Everyone who knew him were affected positively by him. He had a big heart and cared deeply for his family. He was adored by his children and grandchildren. Service will be held on March 30th, 2022, at 1:00Pm at Desert Lawn Memorial Park (1401 S. Union Street), in Kennewick. In Lieu of flowers please donate to the shiner's hospital for kids.
