Howard Louis Buescher, 67, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away peacefully following a long illness on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, with his family by his side. Howard was born December 30, 1953, in Richland, Washington, the middle son of Charles L. and Helen W. Buescher. Howard was raised in Kennewick, Washington and graduated from Kamiakin High School in 1972. Howard was the captain of his high school basketball team and played baseball where he was named to the All-Conference Team. He attended Spokane Falls Community College on a scholarship and played baseball for two years during the 1973 and 1974 seasons. Howard worked as a carpenter specializing in concrete structures. He also worked for a period of time at Hanford for United Nuclear Corporation as a fuels operator. Howard attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kennewick where he was a lifelong member. Howard enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He was also a sports enthusiast and was a big fan of the Seattle Mariners. Howard was preceded in death by his parents. Howard is survived by his brothers, Charles (Susan) of Ammon, Idaho, Jim (Connie), of Moses Lake, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 520 S Garfield Street in Kennewick on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 10:00 am.
