Hattie Eileen Perkins Eileen, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Monday, December 11, 2007. Hattie Eileen was born on August 11, 1926 in Flat Rock, Missouri to Richard and Hattie Cooper. She was raised in Summersville, Missouri with her 10 sisters and brother. In August 1945 Eileen and her brother Bill moved West to Washington with her sister Nanny?s family. Shortly thereafter, Eileen met Edward Perkins of Tennessee who was employed at the Pasco Naval base. Soon they fell in love and they were married on December 21, 1945. Eileen and Edward had eight children who they raised on a farm in North Pasco: Sharon, James, Ronald, Donald, Margaret, Thomas, Marilyn, and Joseph. She is survived by three sisters; Daisy, Lorene and Maxine, seven children and their spouses; son-in law, Roger Deen of St. Louis, MO, James Perkins & wife Sylvia of Grant, MI; Donald Perkins & wife Betty of Pasco, WA; Ronald Perkins & wife Georgia of Pasco, WA; Margaret Ricks & husband Robert of Coulee Dam, WA; Thomas Perkins and wife Lourdes of Pasco, WA; Marilyn Hansen & husband Leonard of Pasco, WA; Joseph Perkins & wife Carol of Pasco, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Perkins, daughter Sharon Deen, and sisters Nellie, Nora, Nettie, Nannie, Alice, Jessie, Minnie, Daphne, and her brothers ?Little Jim? and Bill. Eileen and Edward were blessed with 22 grandchildren: Darrell Deen, David Deen, Daniel Deen, David Perkins, Rebecca Perkins, Melissa Perkins, Thomas Perkins, Shelley Ransier Perkins, Sharon Suarez Perkins, Vickie Torres Ricks, Ray Ricks, Rachelle Perkins, James Perkins, Jarod Perkins, Tami Weber Hansen, Timothy Perkins, Joseph Perkins, Justin Perkins, Jonathan Perkins, Sarah Perkins, Deborah Perkins, and Naomi Perkins. They were blessed again with 19 great grandchildren: Aaron Deen, Nichole Deen, Alexis Deen, Autumn Deen, Isaac Deen, Colton Jones, Kody Jones, Darby Ransier, Tawny Ransier, Savannah Suarez, Adelyn Suarez, Nevaeh Suarez, Olivia Torres, Rachel Torres, Ryan Ricks, Lucas Ricks, Josiah Ricks, Jessica Weber, & Whitney Weber. Eileen also had numerous nieces and nephews, many of whom referred to her as ?Aunt Eikey?. In a poem titled Eileen, written by her sister Jessie; Jessie writes: God gave this little sister of mine many things? A loving, sunny disposition and a voice to sing! She memorizes many songs of every kind. If you hear a pretty song, it?s Eileen, you will find! Our special Mother, ?Grandma?, ?Aunt Eikey?, sister and friend will be missed. Her loving smile, gentle touch and beautiful songs will linger in our memories forever. Visitation will be held from 10am until 8pm on Friday December 14th at Mueller?s Tri-Cities Funeral Home located at 1401 S. Union in Kennewick. Funeral services will begin at Noon on Saturday, December 15th at Mueller?s Tri-Cities Funeral Home.
