Godfrey Davis Jr. Sunrise: July 2, 1946 Sunset: December 6, 2013 Godfrey Davis Jr. was born on July 2, 1946 in Richmond, California to the proud union of Godfrey Davis Sr. and Marie Turner. Godfrey was raised in Pasco, Washington where he attended Pasco High and worked many years for the railroad as well a lead position at Big Pasco. Godfrey was also known as a phenomenal boxer with the opportunity to become pro. He was a strong proud black man. Godfrey was married to Ms. Pearl Davis and to their union was born Regina and Yvonne Davis. He later married Ms. Debbie Cooper and to their union was born Jason Cooper. Although he held the title well of being a no nonsense kind of guy, few had anything bad to say about Godfrey Davis Jr. He was a good friend and enjoyed being so to people from all walks of life. Godfrey was kind, and genuinely liked, respected and loved by many, he loved to laugh and make others laugh. Godfrey was a man of his word second to none, what you saw is what you got. Godfrey was taken too soon and unexpectedly, but did receive Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior prior to his passing and is now resting peacefully, smiling as he receives his crown of everlasting life. He is survived by daughter, Regina Davis Williams of Renton, WA; son, Jason Cooper of Seattle, WA; stepchildren, Shavon Slack, Sheree Wilkin and Leo Slack all of Kennewick, WA, and twenty grandchildren; Siblings, Billy Davis (Frankie) Pasco WA, Jerry Davis (Pam) Seattle WA, BettyJean Davis of Arkansas, Dennis Davis (Patricia) Tacoma, WA, Danny Davis (Judy) Pasco, WA, ShirleyAnn Davis Seattle, WA, Sherry Davis, Seattle, WA, and a host of nephew, nieces , cousins and friends. Godfrey was preceded in death and welcomed home with open arms to both his parents Mr. and Mrs. Davis and his daughter Yvonne Davis. Memorial services will be held on Saturday December 14, 2013 from 1:30 to 4:30 at the Moose Lodge 2617 W. Sylvester St. in Pasco, Washington.
