Glenn E. Herron, 81, died February 7, 2008 in Kennewick, Washington. Glenn was born on September 26, 1926 to Helen and Edwin Herron and raised in Osceola, Iowa. He joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17, serving during World War II and in Korea. He made the Navy a career of 22 years and later worked in Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA where he met his wife, Nina Floyd. They were married 37 years. Nina preceded him in death in 1998. They lived in Bremerton, WA for 12 years and moved to Othello, WA in 1983. They moved in Richland in 1992. Survivors include brothers Kenneth Herron and Richard Herron; sisters Virginia Crouse and Carol Wypich; sons Allen Floyd of Othello and Raymond Floyd of Ellensburg; daughters Marilyn Marsh of Burbank and Marlene McMartin of Bremerton. He has 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Graveside Services will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 10th & Union in Kennewick, on Friday, February 15th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice at the Chaplaincy in Kennewick.
