Obituary

Geraldine F. Rickords, 83, passed away on June 11, 2022 in Richland, Washington. She was the wife of Philip M. Rickords, Sr. They shared 65 years of marriage together. She was born in Spanish Fork, Utah. She was the daughter of Glenda Allred. After her mother re-married, she was adopted by Lue Dean Flake. Her family moved a lot in her childhood years and she graduated from El Central High School, California when she was 16. She married Philip at 18. Her focus in her life was her family. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was always a strong member. She always had a great love for learning. She also was a hard worker and was usually busy doing or learning something new. She loved crocheting doilies or afghans, growing flowers and gardening. Her biggest love was her family and as grandchildren and great grandchildren were added to the family it was very exciting to her. She especially loved babies and young children. She is survived by her spouse, Philip M. Rickords, children Max (Jessie) Rickords, Lee (Karen) Rickords, Larry (Susan) Rickords, Wayne (Leanne) Rickords, Dennis (JoLyn) Rickords, Janell (Scott) McBride, 19 grandchildren, and 16 (soon to be 18) great grandchildren. The graveside service will be held on June 17 at 1pm at Desert Lawn Cemetery in Kennewick, Washington.
