Gary D Carr

Gary Dean Carr "Dean" made his journey to the Lord on February 6, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving daughters. Dean was born March 19, 1935, to Gerald F. Carr and Doris Irene Mumper in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Dean lived his early life and attended school in Long Beach, California. He met the love of his life, Diane Lee Daggett, in Long Beach, and they were married in Las Vegas, NV, at the young ages of 20 and 22. Their marriage was soon blessed with three daughters, Lori, Kathy and Christie. Dean worked in construction as a boilermaker by trade. Together they lived an adventurous life, taking their young family to live in Spain and Alaska, making many wonderful memories. After living many years in California, Idaho and Washington, Dean and Diane retired in Kennewick, WA, in 2003. Here, he honed his golfing skills and his love of the game, spending countless hours on Canyon Lakes golf course with Diane and their golfing friends. Dean loved watching sports of all kinds, especially when his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were on the field. GGPa was very proud of them and loved to watch and hear about their accomplishments. Dean is survived by his daughters, Lori and Steve Brewer of Colfax, CA, Kathy and Paul Ruggles of Kennewick, WA, and Christie and Jim McAloon of Kennewick, WA; grandchildren, Scott Black and Jody Carson, Brent and Kimi Black, Matt and Chantelle Ruggles, Melissa and Chris Smart, Michael and Stephanie McAloon, Daniel McAloon; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Brody, Stella, Sierra, Breeanna, Baylee, Drayden, Brooklyn, Raegan, Joanna, Jack, Calvin. Dean was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Diane Lee Carr; parents, Doris Irene Bacon and Gerald F Carr; brothers, Wayne Eugene Carr and Jerry Keith Carr.
