Frederick C. "Ted or Robbie" Robinson Frederick C. Robinson passed away at his home on October 21, 2010. Frederick Robinson was born on February 5, 1921 in Bassona, Alberta, Canada to M. Margaret O'Geary and Frederick W. Robinson. Robbie and his family returned to the United States and settled in the Kennewick area. Robbie attended the Kennewick and Spokane schools and graduated from Rogers High School. After graduation he honorably served his country during World War II as an Army Sergeant with assignments in Africa and Italy. He returned to Kennewick to make his permanent home. He was first employed by General Electric then worked for the government at Hanford, retiring in 1976. Robbie was a respected member of the community and was involved with the Knights of Columbus, Elks, VFW, Campfire Girls, and the Kennewick Planning Commission. He was a devout Catholic and volunteered his time for twenty years at St. Joseph's Catholic School in the classroom and assisting the Sisters of Condolet. His devotion to serving at St. Joseph's Catholic Church was recognized with an Apostolic Blessing from Pope John Paul II. With Robbie, his religion and his spouse were his main focus along with his love of his cabin and the great outdoors, his friends and neighbors, his fabulous rose garden and his special American Hockey team. Special activities were enjoyed by Roger Blair, Rand Blair, Ronnie Blair and Debra Ross with "Ted" as mentor and as a friend to Dennis Burke. Robbie is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years Leona Lepinski and his nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, infant son, and grandparents. A Rosary will be recited at 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 28th, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm followed by graveside services at Riverview Heights Cemetery. Special thanks are extended to Dolores and Jim Kenworthy, Heather and Andy Broderick, and Janetta and Jerry Mashburn during this difficult time.
