Obituary

The years of pain are gone This life on earth has passed You now will spend a pain-free life For all eternity. Fred Still, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, was born September 13, 1943, and died on May 2, 2010, after almost six years courageously fighting cancer. He was born in California and raised in Colorado. He met his wife of almost 46 years, Brenda Cooper, at Anderson University in Indiana. He is survived by three children, Kevin Still, Kristi Docken, and Blake Still; four grandchildren, Garrett Still and Aubrie, Tayleur, and Maddison Docken. Other survivors include his sister Berniece Bob Asel of Ohio; brother Herb Millie Still of Colorado. His parents, John and Cordelia Still, are deceased. Fred was known for his hearty laugh and contagious sense of humor. His life focused on faith, family and friends. He adored his children and grandchildren and was incredibly proud of each of them. He was an active volunteer who was known for cooking at many church events and sharing his musical talent. His zest for life and many talents will remain with us always. Well done, good and faithful servant! Matthew 25:21 A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Columbia Community Church, at 3:00pm, on Friday, May 14th, 2010, followed by an opportunity to visit with family following the service. To honor his memory, memorials may be sent in Fred?s name to either of the following: Columbia Community Church, 150 Gage Blvd, Richland, WA 99352 or Lower Valley Hospice, 3920 Outlook Road, Sunnyside, WA 98944.
