Obituary

Fred Ellis Bottorff, 82, passed away in Kennewick on February 14, 2007. The Lord sent Freds angels to carry him home. He found out a few weeks ago he had a very large inoperable cancerous tumor in his brain. He was born on September 27, 1924 to Fred L and Mazie Bottorff in Phillips County, Arkansas. He was at peace, and he made everyone around him feel peaceful. We are so thankful that he had very little pain. Velma?s last words to him were ?Fred, I Love you very much and I?ll follow you some day?. Fred loved to fish and put in a garden. He liked to smoke or fry the fish and give some away. The same with his garden, he loved to work the soil and watch things grow but he gave most of it away. He made a lot of people happy. Fred served in WWII and was a lifetime member of the VFW. Fred was a drywall contractor from 1950-1977 in Portland, Oregon and then in Kennewick until he retired. You will be missed Fred, but we won?t be sad because we know you?ll be happy and healthy with our Lord. Fred was preceded in death by his mother and father; brother, Riley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and two nephews. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Velma; son, Floyd; daughter, Charlette Dick Crumley in Oklahoma; sister; and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; brother Minor Yvonne of Moses Lake. All his sisters and brothers in Christ, family and fishing buddies will really miss you Fred. Thank you for all the peace surrounding you, it helped us all. Remember Freddy, I?ll always love and miss you but I?m comforted knowing you are in the Lord?s hands. I?ll see you down the road and we?ll never part. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 1:00p.m. at Mueller?s Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union in Kennewick. Interment will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick.
