Franklin Jonathian Snyder Franklin Snyder, 68, went to rest from his labors on March 17, 2012, when his Lord and Savior called him. He was born on May 18, 1943 to Glen Herbert Snyder and Thelma Hope Parrish in Prosser, Washington, the 9th of eleven children. He married Kathleen Grace Tarr 49 years ago; they had 3 children of which 2 are now remaining. He died doing what he loved the most, as farming was in his blood, being a 3rd generation fruit grower. The family raised many varieties of fruit selling them to sheds, the public, and trucking them to several states. Frank worked at Boise Cascade Mill for 10 years and after hours and on weekends worked alongside his father, who eventually retired and sold the ranch to him. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Snyder, daughter Janet Snyder, son Craig Traci Snyder, granddaughters Alex Snyder Jacob Lukins, Christi Snyder, sisters Anita Tarr and Rose Snyder, brothers Joseph Helen Snyder, Herbert Jeannie Snyder, Virgil Snyder and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Jon Franklin Snyder 1985, brothers Ralph Aaron Snyder 1936, Ivan Jerald Snyder 1953, his mother, Thelma Hope Snyder 1970, his brother Melvin Orin Snyder 1979, his father, Glen Herbert Snyder 1985, brothers Calvin Jerrian Snyder 2004, Glenn LeRoy Snyder 2004, and nephew Melvin Otto Snyder 2011. Frank was a good husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He was one of the Lord's faithful stewards of the land. He will be greatly missed by many. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 24th at 1:00p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Benton City. Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23rd at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, 314 W 1st Ave, Kennewick. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the First Baptist Church, 1103 Horne, Benton City, Washington following the graveside service.
