Ferris Naef passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 after a short and valiant battle with cancer. He was born on September 22, 1946 in Ontario, Oregon to Paul and Kathryn Naef. They moved to Pasco, Washington in 1955. After serving an LDS mission in France, he attended Brigham Young University where he met and married the love of his life, Kathy Ellen Leithead. Together they raised 8 children Matthew (Danell) Naef, Jeramie (Michelle) Naef, Danielle (Brian) Belliston, Melissa (Trevor) Anderson, Sean (Katy) Naef, Kristin (Jason) Chastain, Samantha (available) Naef, Megan (Ryan) DeLeon. His family and love for the Lord were most important. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various capacities. He also loved and faithfully served the Boy Scouts of America and in the Pasco Kiwanis club. He knew no strangers and was a friend to all. He took time to visit with everyone and made them feel important. He was a great leader and example of Christlike love and service. He is survived by his wife, children, 23 grandchildren, his mother-in-law Betty Leithead, second mother Juanita Naef, his siblings LaDawn (Dennis) Clark, Sherry (Craig) Davenport, Randy (Lee-Ana) Naef, LaPrele (Juan) Hernandez, and Travis (Tania) Naef and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Kathryn Naef. A viewing will be held at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home in Pasco on Monday evening, August 1, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm. Memorial Services will be held at the LDS Parley Building, 4618 Porto Ln, Pasco, on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 11:00am with a viewing from 9:30-10:30am. Graveside service will follow at the Country View Cemetery in Basin City, WA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the LDS General Missionary Fund, the LDS Humanitarian Aid Fund, or the Kiwanis Club of Pasco Foundation (PO Box 556, Pasco, WA 99301)
