Everette Charles Webber, born August 17, 1926, at LaPorte, Minnesota to Joseph and Charlotte Holderbecker Webber passed away October 12, 2010 at his home in Kennewick at the age of 84. Everette?s mother and two sisters, Elinore and Wilma, died when was small. At the age of three the family moved to the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Lela O. Anderson became his stepmother. Everette attended Trent Grade School and Pleasant Hill High School before entering the service where he served in the Army, 82nd Paratrooper division, spending one year in the Japan occupation. Everette married his childhood sweetheart, Doris Mae Wheeler, on March 16, 1947 at the Trent, Oregon Christian Church. He worked in the sawmills and logging woods and then was foreman of a large logging company, and owner of his own company, in the Remote and Powers areas in Oregon. In 1966 he entered Central Washington Bible College where he graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Sacred Literature. Everette served as Pastor of Wasco Christian Church and was Associate Pastor of Selah Church of Christ, Tri-City Christian Center and Calvary Church on the Rock in Washington and then as Pastor of Highland Christian Church in Kennewick, Washington. He was then the chaplain of a retirement facility for 10 years and retired to fill the pulpit at different churches and facilities on request. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, Richard Joseph, and one son, Brian Glenn Webber. He leaves one son, Everette R. Webber and wife, Barbara Hoffman of Marion, Indiana and their children, Elisa Webber Sterner and husband, Daniel; and great-grandchildren Aidan Sterner and Caleb Sterner in Indianapolis, Indiana; Everette J. Webber and wife Rebekah; great-grandsons Everette D., Luke S. and Aaron Webber in Santa Clarita, California; and daughter Naomi M. Pratt and husband James of Kennewick, Washington and granddaughter Stephanie Middleton Jenkins and great-granddaughter Bailey L. Jenkins of Spokane, Washington; Crystal Middleton Baker-Keller and great-granddaughters Kilynn N. and Sabrynn D. Baker of Kennewick, Washington. He also leaves two step-grandsons Steve and wife Tracy Pratt; and great-grandchildren Dawson and Allison Pratt; Scott and wife Shawna Pratt; and great-granddaughter Shyann; and great-grandsons Tyler and Caden Pratt from Kennewick, Washington. Ev was respected by family and friends and generous to a fault. Graveside services will be Friday, October 15th, 2010, 3:00 p.m., at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 10th & Union Street, Kennewick. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 16th, 10:00 a.m., at Faith Assembly Christian Center, 1800 N. Rd 72, Pasco.
