Evelyn Mae Power Rethford, was born January 26, 1984, in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. She resided in the Tri-Cities for 30 years. Evelyn was a failure to thrive baby at birth and her life expectancy was only one day. Evelyn survived 32 years even though she had many health complications. She loved life and loved her beautiful family. Her children were her daily focus. She attended Holy Spirit Parish in Kennewick. Evelyn attended Sunset View Elementary, Desert Hills Middle School, Kamiakin High School and Hanford High School, all in the Tri-Cities. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Herbert Eric Payne, paternal grandfather Neil Francis Power, paternal grandmother Evelyn Mae Power, step grandfather Leroy Lucas, paternal siblings George and Annette Power. Evelyn is survived by her mother Martha Lucas, father Neil Power, maternal grandmother Mary Payne, step grandmother Gladys Lucas, aunts Priscilla Reynolds, Margaret Payne and Paula Lucas, uncles Joseph Payne and Gary Lucas, sister, Chamari Power, her children Madelyn, Isabell, Rhiley, Peyton, Ava, Noah, Zoe and Lincoln, and her many cousins from around the United States and India. A Memorial Mass will be held in Evelyn's honor on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., (Rosary recited at 10:15 a.m.) at Parish of the Holy Spirit, 7409 W. Clearwater Ave, Kennewick. She will be inurned privately at a later date at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
