Ervy Robert Tallant

May 15, 1917 - March 8, 2022

Ervy R. Tallant, 104 years old of Kennewick WA., died March 8, 2022 of natural causes. Ervy was born in Sobol, OK on May 15, 1917 to Richard and Mallie Tallant. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Roy, Riley, sister Zada, and youngest daughter Jacqueline Marie. Survived by his bride of 77 years, Lottie, eldest daughter Diana (Bill) Spires, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Ervy was an exceptional heavy equipment operator. Having worked for the military during WWII building bases in Greenland and on Kodiak Island. He went on to work construction on many dams including several on the Snake and Columbia. He retired from Hanford in 1982. Ervy was a great sportsman, passing down his love of hunting, fishing and the outdoors to many generations. He also loved being in the mountains with Lottie and family picking berries, mushrooms, and cutting firewood. A man of his word, "Papa", left a legacy of integrity, honor, working hard, and taking care of his family. In honor of his memory and his vows to the love of his life, Lottie Faye, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org). Services will be held at 11a.m. March 17th, at Kennewick Baptist Church.
