Ernesto Garza, 94, of Kennewick went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 15, 2017. He passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning. Ernesto was born December 13, 1922 in Agualegus, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Donicio and Antonia Gonzalez. He resided in Kennewick, WA since 1957. He worked for Hanson's Brothers and other various farmers/ranchers until his retirement in 1992. Together he and Maria raised 5 children, their eldest Alfredo passed away at the age of 15 in June 1961. Surviving Ernesto: daughter Maria de Socorro Tamez, daughter Maria Luisa Tamez, son Noe Garza, daughter Estella Castro, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Maria G. Garza, son Alfredo Garza, parents, and all of his siblings. Recitation of the Holy Rosary, Sunday March 19th at 5:30 PM at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls 314 W. 1st Ave. Kennewick WA. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Parish 506(A) S. Garfield Kennewick. Burial at Desert Lawn Memorial Park 1401 S. Union St. Kennewick. Reception to follow at Dillon Hall.
