Ernest L. Myers, age 84 of Kennewick, WA, passed away on December 06, 2008 from the arms of his loving family to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He served his country as an Airplane and Engine Mechanic and Aerial Gunner during WW2. He later became a telegrapher clerk for Union Pacific Railroad in 1951, which he retired from in 1984. He was an avid bowler, loved to tell jokes, quote poetry, hunt and fish, watch the Tri-City American's hockey games, and share his faith for the Lord. He was a member of Calvary Chapel Church, Pasco Senior League, Uncle Sam's League, Senior Mixer's Bowling League, and American Bowling Congress. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Mary Myers, wife of 52 years Dorothy Myers, and second wife Norma Myers. He is survived by his son Robert L. Myers and his wife Maribeth Myers, daughter Tammy R. Smith, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A public viewing will be held on Friday December 12th, 2008 from 5-8 pm at Mueller's Funeral Home 1401 S Union St, Kennewick. A memorial service will be held Saturday December 13th at Calvary Chapel 10611 W. Clearwater Ave, Kennewick at 10:30 am with Pastor Steve Whinery officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park 10th and Union from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm, and then concluded with a reception at Calvary Chapel from 2-4 pm.
