Obituary

Edith Huesties, 88, of Moses Lake, WA and formerly of Kennewick, passed away Sunday April 2, 2006 at Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata. She was born July 1, 1917 in Fort Scott, Kansas. She graduated from Fort Scott High School and married ?Hank? in 1938. They moved to the Yakima Valley where they both worked in the fruit orchards. In December of 1941, they moved to Bremerton, WA where Hank went to work as a welder at the Bremerton Naval Shipyards for the duration of the war. After the war, they moved to Kennewick, WA where they raised their son Gary, while Dad worked construction. Edith loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughters. She was proud of voting only for women candidates who she felt had a great chance of changing the world. She could also make fabulous pies. She is survived by her son Gary and wife Donna; Grandchildren Natalie and husband Jim Claussen and Chuck Huesties, all of Ephrata; Joy and husband Brian Reese of Moses Lake; Great granddaughters Krista and Sarah Claussen and Gillian Reese; Also, a very special friend, Linda Coleman of Kennewick. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, April 6, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at Riverview Heights Cemetery, in Kennewick, WA. Mueller?s Chapel of the Falls, Kennewick is in charge of arrangements.
