Earl S. Gavaert, age 80, passed away in his home on December 2, 2021 in Kennewick, Washington. Earl was born on September 14, 1941 in Detroit to Sylvian and Helen Gavaert. He worked for the City of Kennewick for 32 years where he retired. He loved riding his motorcycle and ATV, enjoyed woodwork and was an avid animal lover and volunteered for the VA transporting patients from Tri-Cities to Walla Walla. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvian and Helen Gavaert; brother Don Gavaert and son Timothy Gavaert. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Gavaert; three children, Michelle Brooks (Bill), Shawn Gavaert (Carey) and Earl J. Gavaert along with his stepchildren, Rick Carlton, Karen Roe, Becky Allman, and Lisa Cartlon, brother Jim Gavaert and sister Sharon Hackel along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Gardens in Richland, Washington 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021. Pallbearers will be Shawn Gavaert, Earl J. Gavaert, Dakota Gavaert, Shawn Brooks, Rick Carlton and Bill Kaiser.
