Dorothy and Gene started life together in church preschool and have been together ever since. Dorothy was on the Kennewick High School Tennis and Debate teams. She graduated from Kennewick High in 1951. In 1953 Dorothy and Gene had a big wedding at the Kennewick Christian Church. In 1955 the Army called and Gene ended up in the Far East Command Headquarters located in Tokyo. Dorothy joined him and they moved into a new house. They walked to work in the Headquarters building for two years. Once back in Kennewick their son, Mike, was born in 1958. Another son, Mark, arrived in 1960. Dorothy enjoyed life in the mountains, beach activities along the Pacific Coast, staying at our place at High Valley in Packwood, and our rental at Barber's Resort on Clear Lake provided many enjoyable times. She always loved the people we met in Thousand Trails. Family get-togethers were always a big production. She was a devoted caregiver to Gene's and her parents and her own family. We thank Teresita Clar de Jesus, MD, all the caregivers and Hospice for their loving care.
