Donald Angus Doyle, beloved husband father, grandmother, and brother of Kennewick, WA, passed away March 17, 2008 at Kennewick Life Care Center. He was born July 16, 1918 in Kennewick, WA to Angus and Mabel Doyle. After graduation from Kennewick High School in 1938, he worked for Standard Oil Company and on March 16, 1941, he married his high school sweetheart, Lorraine Smith. During World War II, he served in the Navy. He returned to Standard Oil Glen Feiton for many years, and then formed Doyle Brothers Oil Co. with brother, James Doyle until retirement. He worked 30 years as a volunteer fireman. He spent 23 years on the Kennewick Planning Commission, W.S.U. Master Gardner Program, Tri-Cities Rose Society Men's Cancer Group and First United Methodist Church where he tended the Peace Rose Garden, planted by Overland, Doris Leviel, Donald, and Lorraine Doyle. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, daughters Carol Bill Combs of Benton City, WA, Sharon John DeWaele of Auburn, WA and Donna Charles Tate of West Richland, Grandson Don Curry of Kennewick, Granddaughter Diane James Caldwell of Wenatchee, Great-granddaughter Paige Caldwell and Great-Grandson Noah. Grandson Joe DeWaele of Colorado, Granddaughter Patricia Kevin Darch and Great-Granddaughters Julia, Rachael, Grandson Jonathon Darch and Josh and Robert Manship. He is also survived by Sisters Dorothy Gerald Britton, Coral Hue and Lois Weltz and Sister-in-law Neva and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Doyle and first-born daughter Patricia Louise Doyle. In lieu of flowers, donations could be sent to "Kid's First Addition," Kennewick First United Methodist Church, 421 W. Kennewick Avenue, Kennewick, Washington 99336. He requested no formal services after cremation. Graveside service for family will be held with ashes interned with daughter Patricia at Riverview Cemetery.
