Don Baxter, a loving husband and father, who truly cherished his family, passed away on October 11th, 2010 at the age of 80 at the Chaplaincy Hospice House of Kennewick Washington. Don was born in Bucoda, Washington on December 27th, 1929. Don married the love of his life Dorothy May on May 18th, 1952 with whom he would spend 58 wonderful years and be blessed with 4 beautiful children. In addition to being the consummate family man, he was a loyal patriot who loved his country and served in the Army becoming a decorated Korean War Hero. After retiring from the Army, Don packed up the family and moved to California to work for and eventually manage a propane company. In Don's later years he retired to Washington to spend the remaining years of his life. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy May; their children, Pamela, Mark and Denise, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Barry and grandson Lorenzo. A memorial service to celebrate Don's life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday the 23rd of October at the First Baptist Church located at 1107 Wright Avenue in Richland, Washington, 99354.
