August 28, 1991 - September 11, 2021
Devin Fredrick McBride was born in Richland Washington on August 28th, 1991. He passed away while rock climbing and hiking with his father in Icicle Canyon, Leavenworth with members of the Columbia Basin and Pasco 11th ward Priest Quorum on September 11, 2021. He is the oldest child of Robert and Rhonda McBride. When Devin was 2, he caught chicken poxes and woke up in the night crying that the chickens from his grandmother’s pen were getting him and to this day hates chickens. Devin was a responsible child and very independent. He started wearing a watch in the second grade and always continued that practice. Devin played the Trumpet through 9th grade and learned to read music and enjoyed singing. After his freshman year he had a great experience with his cousin Marcus Harris in traveling to and touring Japan as an exchange student. He enjoyed spending summers with his grandfather and grandmother McBride working as care takers of Camp Zarahemla. He also developed a love of computers while spending time with his grandfather. He enjoyed raising animals at his grandfather and grandmother Harris’s during the summer taking them to the fair at the end of the summer. School came easy for Devin he always succeeded with as little effort as possible. He enjoyed reading when he was younger and later would always be listening to audio books on his headphones. He made many friends that he enjoyed playing video games with. He graduated from Pasco High School in 2009 and did running start at CBC. The best two years of his life were spent on his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ in the Buenos Aires North mission Argentina. Part of his mission covered the southern most part of Argentina and he loved his time with the beautiful people of Argentina. On his mission he became fluent in Spanish and continued to enjoy using that talent. He made lifelong friends with many companions and families in Argentina. After his mission he came home and worked his way through BYU-Idaho receiving a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems. As an IT consultant he worked for a year in California in the San Frisco Bay area. His strong independence led him to start his own IT consulting business and he was starting to grow it. He was proud that it allowed him to purchase his own home in Pasco. Devin was always a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ and was sealed for time and eternity to his family in 2001. Devin is survived by his Mother and Father Rhonda and Robert McBride, a sister Bethany Passey and brother in law Taylor Passey, a Macedonian sister Ana Tomevska, both sets of Grand parents’ Bob and Elaine McBride of Benton City, WA and Alvin and Fern Harris of Pasco, WA and many Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.
