Della Tibbitts Andersen passed away on May 3, 2018 at her home in Kennewick, Washington at the age of 95. She was born to Benjamin Emmett and Mary Bodily Galbraith Tibbitts on November 25, 1922 at Lorenzo, Idaho, the fourth of eight children. Della loved her school days and was an exceptional student graduating as Salutatorian of her high school class. On December 17, 1943 she married Don B. Andersen in the Logan Temple of the Church of Jesus Christof Latter-day Saints. Together they had eight children. Della was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings. She attended the Columbia River Temple nearly every Thursday and Friday for many years, even right up until her graduation from mortality. She was an example of Christ-like service and touched many people's lives with a gift of her famous bread or other baked goodies. She had a great capacity to love many and some Christmases gave over 100 treasured homemade gifts to her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don B. Andersen; her son, Shane Ralph Andersen; her daughter, Christine Andersen Boneck; her son-in-law, Tony Ash; and her great grandson, Ryker Beauchamp. She is survived by her children, Marcia Beauchamp (Mike), Merrill Andersen (Sharlene), Tressa Ash (Tony), Scott Andersen, Faye Miner, Robyn Childers (Burk), 41 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren, and Ray Tibbitts, brother. Viewing will be Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S Union in Kennewick and Saturday morning just prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ridgeline building located at 10376 Ridgeline Drive in Kennewick. Interment will follow immediately afterward at Desert Lawn Memorial Park located at 10th and Union Street, Kennewick, Washington.
