Born the 13th of December, 1947 in Franklin, IN; Daniel went on to be with the Lord on the 23rd of March, 2008. He passed peacefully at home, with his family by his side. To some he was known simply as Daniel, but to us he was known as a loving husband, father, grandfather, dutiful worker, and distinguished Veteran. Married to the love of his life, Adelia "Dee" Sleater for 38 years, he was a devoted husband. From this beautiful marriage were born 2 children whom he loved with his whole heart and for whom he sacrificed of himself as only a father would. Daniel's love and adoration of his grandchildren was eclipsed only by his grandchildren's love for their grandfather. For 31 years he was committed to Battelle Northwest Laboratories working his way from Draftsman to Senior Designer. Determined to serve his country he joined the Army in 1967. He courageously served two tours in Vietnam. From 1968-1969 he served with great pride and honor in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division, and again, with distinguished valor he fought for our country with 1st Cavalry Division from 1971-1972. Daniel is survived by his wife Dee, children David & Mandi Yeager, Dana & Toby DeWeber; grandchildren Alora and Samantha Yeager, Christian, and Abigail DeWeber; mother Doris Pearson; sisters Peggy Green and Susan Stromsness; brother Terry Yeager; several nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Yeager. Daniel will be missed and loved by all who knew him. We will see you again Danny Joe.
