Dallen P. Young, 21, of Spokane, WA, passed away April 7, 2017 from pneumonia while vacationing in Central America. Dallen was born on his father's birthday, October 28, 1995 in Richland, WA. He attended schools in Kennewick before moving his 8th grade year to Spokane where he graduated from Mead High School and attend Spokane Community College. Dallen was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He achieved his Eagle Scout rank upon completion of a project that collected used backpacks for a village of school children in Ecuador. Dallen loved the outdoors, playing his guitar, singing, his two dogs and was on the debate team. He enjoyed following the news and politics and enjoyed long discussions and debates with family and friends. Dallen had the opportunity the past couple of years to tour many countries and enjoyed meeting new people, making new friends and seeing new sites. Dallen was to start taking Spanish courses and volunteering in Antigua, Guatemala but passed away a couple of days before, while vacationing in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Dallen was preceded in death by his grandmother Darlene Christensen and is survived by his parents Vaughn and Donna (Christensen) Young, brothers Ryan, Nathan, Steven and sister-in-law Cassidy Young. He leaves behind his grandparents D. Paul Christensen, Janice & H. Allen Young and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends throughout the world. Dallen will be missed dearly, but never forgotten. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 12, 2017, 11:0 a.m., at the North Spokane State Center, 401 W. Regina Ave., Spokane with a viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m. An additional viewing will be held Saturday, May 13th, 930-1030 a.m. at the Hansen Park LDS Church, 8120 W. 4th Ave., Kennewick, WA with graveside services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Riverview Heights Cemetery, 1200 S. Olympia Street, Kennewick.
