Clarence Truman Bumgardner, of Pasco, passed away January 30, 2015, peacefully surrounded by his loving children. Clarence, Truman, or Mr. Bum as many knew him, was a revered Real Estate Broker and owner of Bumgardner Realtor, Inc. for more than 5 decades in the Tri-Cities area. Clarence was born to Ezra and Lydia (Vanover) Bumgardner, in Dorton, KY, December 16, 1930. He attended Pikeville College in Pikeville, KY, The Union College, Barberville, KY, and Columbia Basin College in Pasco, where he later taught real estate classes. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1953. Clarence worked for Northern Pacific Railroad from 1954 to 1965, when he discovered his passion for helping others invest in real estate. He married Gladys Sanson in 1951. They later divorced. They had one daughter, Debra Bumgardner (Ronney) Rodriguez of Denver, CO. Married to his beloved wife Leona for 52 Years, Clarence happily anticipated reuniting with her in eternal life. Clarence and Leona raised five children: Cherie (David) Jones, Candace (John) O'Dell of Apache Junction, AZ, Harold Ray (Imogene) Patton and Colleen Patton. Clarence was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who he cherished dearly. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Leona, his parents, his brother Paul and his sisters, Loretta Hall of KY, Ruth Newsom Johns of Kennewick, WA, Guthrie Anders of KY, and Betty Wojcieszak of Kennewick, WA., as well as daughter, Peggy Ann (Duane) Morris of Prosser, WA and grandson Kenneth Ray Garrett. He is survived by his beloved sister Ava Thacker of Pasco and brother, Thurman Bumgardner of Raccoon, KY. The benevolent, well-loved gentleman was a passionate supporter of the local community, giving unselfishly to those in need. An avid fisherman, Clarence had a smile that was contagious and the generous heart of a servant. Many will remember his great fish stories, his passion for basketball and the onions he shared with all. A viewing will be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, in Kennewick, WA, on Wednesday, February 4, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with funeral services also there on Thursday, February 5, at 2:00 PM.
