Obituary

Charmaine (Charm) Lynn Ellis, 75, of Kennewick, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 6th, 2019. Her final days were spent surrounded by family, that as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt she had touched and greatly influenced throughout her life. Charm was born July 16, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, to Arther and Marquerite Carlander (Link). She spent her life devoted to her husband George (Duke) and her family. She absolutely loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. There wasn't a ballgame, music concert, school play, or any other extracurricular activity of her children or grandchildren that was missed. Charm also enjoyed camping, travel, outdoors, word search puzzles, and loved her dedicated companion (dachshund) "Patches". She was known as second mom to some, grandma (munga) to many, a supportive aunt to her many nieces and nephews that she loved, and was always there for family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Wayne Carlander, son-in-law Timothy Foster and grandson fallen hero SPC Robert Ellis, and leaves behind her sole mate of 60 years George (Duke) Ellis, her daughter Nancy Foster, son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Kelly Ellis, and son and daughter-in-law John and Joelle Ellis; grandchildren John and Tina Ellis, Chris and Ashley Foster, Mike and Dana Ellis, Kyle and Shaylna Foster, Bryan Foster and Taylor Darby, Katie and Kenneth Roberts, Jimmy Ellis, and Paul Ellis; great grandchildren Avalon Munz, Autumn Munz, Malachi Munz, Brooklyn Foster, Dylan Foster, Emmalyn Ellis, Sadie Ellis, Kaiya Foster, Noah Foster, Nadia Roberts, Jude Roberts, and Penelope. While the family is deeply grieved by the loss of one of our family's pillars, we are thankful for having had her in our lives and believe strongly, as she did, that someday Jesus will reunite us again. As we eagerly await for that day, we will keep her in our hearts and minds, where her memory will live on as long as we do. A celebration of life for family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.
