Obituary

Charles Irving Slack, 85, of Kennewick, Washington, died May 8, 2015 at Trios Hospital. Born April 7, 1930 in Cuyler, New York, he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha Neal Slack. He was stationed at the Hanford military base in 1949 and chose to stay, and lived in the Kennewick area the rest of his days. While living here, he chose to make his life time career as a mechanic, small time farmer and family man. He shared his mechanic skills with many friends and family and was much loved and appreciated. He is survived by his wife, Frances Slack, Kennewick; his daughter, Charlene Davis and son, Roger Slack, both of Kennewick; his brother, Elmer Slack, of Cortland, New York. He has 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Viewing will be Friday, May 15, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union in Kennewick. Graveside services will be Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Prosser Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life Luncheon at the Church of God, 812 W. 19th, Kennewick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of God.
