Obituary

Charles Arthur Bunce, 87, passed away on October 9, 2006. He was born August 27, 1919 in Iona, South Dakota to William and Myrtle Hayes Bunce. At the age of 15 the family moved to Idaho where he joined the U.S. Army at age 19 and served in World War II. After the war, the family moved to the Tri-Cities where he met the love of his life, Elaine Taylor and they were married May 17, 1948 in Kennewick. He was a member of the IOOF #242 of Pasco for over 50 years and past Noble Grand. He enjoyed woodworking for forty years and built wood looms for craft items such as afghans and hats. He was always busy doing something! He once was asked to help with a grape farm until more help was found and he ended up doing that for thirteen years. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, William and Myrtle; his wife Elaine Taylor; son, Marvin; and brothers, Blaine and Bernal. He is survived by his son, David and wife Sharon; daughter, Wanda Cox; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House, 2108 W. Entiat in Kennewick. Viewing will be held on Friday, October 13, 2006 from 3:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Mueller?s Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union in Kennewick and a Funeral service on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 11:00a.m. at Mueller?s Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick.
