After a brief illness, Cal passed away at home surrounded by his caring family. He was a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, uncle, brother. Cal was born in Java, South Dakota on May 3, 192 to John and Dorothea-Ella Buckenberger. He moved to Washington in 1942. Graduated High School at Hover High in 1945. Cal spent his life in the horse haven hills and loved it dearly. Cal worked for Frank Dunham who got him started raising his own herd. After Frank passed away he went to work for Avis at Pasco Airport until he retired in 2006. Cal was married to his wife Georgia for 59 years plus. Together they raised 5 children. Cal was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothea-Ella and his loving daughter, Patricia. Cal is survived by his wife, Georgia, son Michael Colleen of Lake Havasu City, AZ, son Terry Denice of Kennewick, WA, son Robert Jeannie of Kennewick, WA, daughter Veronica "Dolli" Rossi of Portland, OR, sister Violet Goetz of Java, SD, sister LaMoyle Calvin Amon of Java, SD. Grandchildren: Michael Susan Griffin, Joey Cole and Angella Cole, Brandon Viola, Kasey Nick Rossolelli, Erik Azure, Taryn Alicia, Tiffany, Brittney, Hannah, Cameron Christy, Steffanie Mike Woda, Kari Seth, Eric Sara, Debbie Jorge, and 15 great grandchildren, many numerous nephews and nieces. We want to thank Dr. Toshani, Dr. Tim Chen, Dr. Fischer, and the E.R. Doctors at Kennewick General Hospital for our many visits there. And the wonderful people at Hospice: Chris, Heather, Chaplin Timmons. They have all been so caring. Funeral services will be at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, 314 W. 1st Ave, in Kennewick at 11:00 am, Friday, December 4th, 2009. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Grange at 27th and Washington in Kennewick after the funeral services. In lieu of flowers please donate to Hospice in Cal's name.
