Michael Bruce Baer was born in Kennewick, Washington, on April 13, 1959, to Ted Baer and Karol Brimhall Baer. He passed away much too soon on March 12, 2015. Bruce was a lifelong resident of Kennewick, attending schools from kindergarten through high school, graduating from Kamiakin High School in 1977. He married Carole Lindblad, his lifelong love, on May 1, 1982, and they were sealed in the Seattle LDS Temple on April 28, 1984. The marriage was blessed with four children, Janene, Jared, Darren and Elaina. Bruce was a faithful member of the LDS Church, where he served in many capacities, including Ward Missionary, Elders Quorum President, and Bishopric Counselor. He was extremely hard working, but always made time to help others. For most of his life, he was a self-employed contractor, able to do most anything relating to home building. Bruce was predeceased by his father and grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Carole, and their children, Janene Breymeyer, Jared Baer (Joanna), Darren Baer, and Elaina McCoy (Travis); grandchildren, Brooklyn Breymeyer and Shane Baer; his mother and stepfather, Bud and Karol Smith, his sisters, Lynn Cook, Teresa May and Kristi Harman. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bruce was an extraordinary son, husband, father and grandfather, with unconditional love for all. He was the rock his entire family depended upon. He also had many lifelong friendships, and really enjoyed water skiing with family and friends. Viewing will be Thursday, March 19th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union in Kennewick. Funeral Services will be Friday, March 20th, at 2:00pm at the LDS Union Building, 515 S. Union, Kennewick. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick.
