Obituary

Bonnie Jean Britton, 73, passed away on February 28, 2008 in Kennewick. Bonnie was born October 25, 1934 in Oswego, Kansas to John and Mattie Seybold. The family moved to the Tri-Cities in 1943 and she graduated from Pasco High School in 1952. Loving to dance, she met her future husband Richard at the Highland Dance Hall where they shared a common interest. Bonnie and Richard married on July 29, 1956 in Pasco, Washington where they raised their two sons, Jeff Britton of Kennewick and Brent Britton of Spokane, with his wife Kellie and their son Michael. She cherished her family time the most with the two boys in their different activities. In the years to follow, Bonnie worked at the Pasco School District as a cook from 1970 until her retirement in 1986. After her retirement she began to travel with Richard throughout the United States collecting many more memories together. Camping, fishing, picking huckleberries and wild mushrooms were just small portions of a busy retirement. In between their travels, she spent time with hobbies such as making candles, baking, working outside in the garden tending her many varied flowers. She is best known for her personal greeting cards which she enjoyed making. Most of all she enjoyed the company of her close friends at the monthly luncheons. Bonnie will be missed greatly as a wife, mother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her husband Richard; sons Jeff of Kennewick, Brent of Spokane with his wife Kellie and son Michael; brother Bob Seybold and family of Sandpoint, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House, 2108 West Entiat Avenue Kennewick, Washington 99336.
