Billie Rae Phillips
November 30, 1933 - August 26, 2021
Billie was born in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma on November 20, 1933 to Beecher Lafayette and Ivy Pearl Myers, Billie was the youngest of 11 children. She met Ray and they dated 1 year before Ray joined the Navy. During the next year they corresponded via letters and then married in Carson City, Nevada on July 1, 1951. While they were stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii they welcomed their son, Raymond and soon after their daughter, Deborah. Being a navy wife, Billie traveled across the United States with the kids, a cat and a dog to Ray’s new assigned location. Billie was always able to make the best of any situation. As the years passed their family grew leaps and bounds. Their son, Raymond married Jean and they have a son, Troy. Troy is grown up and married to Maureen. Their daughter, Deborah has three children, Crystal who is married to Eric, a son Daniel and daughter Brandy. If you are keeping track that is three generations, but to complete this family tree we must add a fourth generation with six Great Grandchildren and yes, a fifth generation of two Great-Great Grandchildren. Billie was blessed beyond measure. Billie was also very active in her church, as well as leading the Columbia Basin Baptist Associations Women’s Mission Groups. She also served as the President of the Women’s Missionary Union for the Northwest Baptist Convention. Her life mission was for all to know Jesus. Pastor Tom Johnson will be officiating Billie’s Celebration of Life, this Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Mueller’s-Pasco (1608 West Court Street) viewing will be from 2:00-2:30, service will begin at 2:30.
