Born July 2, 1928 in Seattle, WA. She was the sixth child born to parents Clarence Winfield and Mabel Estelle Soutar Durance. Barbara graduated from West Seattle High School in 1946. She married Hartley M Beeler March 18, 1950 at West Side Presbyterian Church in West Seattle, WA. Barbara had four children, six grand children and four great grandchildren. Barbara lived in West Seattle, Tumwater, Medical Lake, East Wenatchee, Sequim and Pasco, WA. She attended church at East Wenatchee First Baptist, Sequim Bible, West Side Presbyterian, and First Christian Church of Pasco. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Hartley of 53 years; her parents, siblings and other relatives and friends. Barbara was a faithful wife and loving mother, she enjoyed reading, playing piano, singing, crossword puzzles, her family, sewing and crafts. She spent the last days at Hospice House, surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, grand children, and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and one sister-in-law. The graveside service will be held April 18, 2008 at 10:00am, at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be at Greenlee Funeral Home in Pasco on Thursday April 17, 2008 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice House, or to a charity of your choice.
