Obituary

Arnold Feely was born at Rathdrum, Idaho on March 8, 1931. His parents were Clarence H. Feely and Beulah (Stoutenberg) Feely, who predeceased him. He had one brother, Willard L. Feely, and one sister, Dwyla H. Unruh, both of whom predeceased him. Arnold was born and raised on a small farm near Rathdrum. He completed high school at Rathdrum, Idaho, although his parents moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho in 1947. He graduated from Kinman Business University in Spokane and attained his ambition of becoming a Certified Public Accountant in 1955, after spending 2 years in the Army during the Korean War. He spent his time in the Army in northern Japan, where he fought the battles of the typewriter. He lived and worked in Spokane until 1967, when he moved to Pasco, Washington to become the owner and manager of a local CPA firm. He continued in that business until he retired in 1995. After retirement, Arnold continued doing a few income tax returns just to keep his mind occupied. Arnold married the former Jane Nolan in 1955. They were divorced in 1970. Two additional marriages also ended in divorce. Since 1994, he lived in Kennewick with his best friend and "significant other", Mary Jean Compton. Arnold is survived by Mary Jean Compton, by a daughter in Spokane, and a cousin with whom he was close, Tom Feely and his wife Louise in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and distant various relatives.
