Wilfred Arnold "Arne" Dupuis, 73, died at his home in West Richland, WA on June 19, 2015. He was born in a birthing room in Cle Elum, WA on November 26, 1941 to parents Wilfred and Beulah Wells Dupuis. His family moved to Kennewick when Arne was 9 years old and he lived there the rest of his childhood until graduating from Kennewick High School and enlisting in the Air Force in 1959. He proudly served in the Air Force from 1959-1963. Arne married Ruth Yvonne Miller in 1963 and together they had four children. Arne spent this period of his life raising and supporting his family, coaching his kids' youth sports teams, and racing Jeeps as a member of the Desert Rats Jeep Club. He spent his professional career at Westinghouse Hanford from 1969-1995 ultimately working as a project manager. In 1993, Arne married Janelle Hailey Stewart. They have been active members of Richland Moose Lodge #1766, where Arne was a life member, as well as a volunteer for Water Follies Rescue and Sprint Boat Races that included trips around the Pacific Northwest, New Zealand and Australia. Arne was a West Richland volunteer firefighter and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, The American Legion and the Cle Elum Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Arne and Janelle have spent the last several years keeping in touch with close and extended family, and raising a huge garden and beautiful roses. He was also a talented wood worker. Arne will always be remembered for helping anyone, family or friend, at any time. This was evidenced by providing a home to relatives in times of need, all his volunteer work, and his large circle of friends. He was a friend to all. Arne was preceded in death by parents Fred and Beulah Dupuis and is survived by his wife Janelle Dupuis and children and their families: daughter Doreen Dupuis DePalo and her children Bria DePalo and Jayden Ault, son and spouse Joe and Ann Dupuis and their children, Jack, Sean and Elizabeth, son and spouse Keith and Lori Dupuis and their children, Tyler and Ashlyn, son and spouse, Kenny and Erin Dupuis, daughter and spouse Krissy and KC Andres and children London and Ariya, son Joe Stewart, and daughter Hailey Stewart and her children Cortney and Lindsey. Surviving siblings include sister Donna Mills, brother and spouse Dave and Sandy Dupuis, and sister and spouse Sherry and Bob Waltz. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to Tri-City Chaplaincy Hospice. A viewing will be held Tuesday June 23 from 5-7 pm with Rosary services at 6 pm at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home (1401 S. Union St., Kennewick). The funeral will be Wednesday June 24 at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church (520 S. Garfield St., Kennewick) with a viewing at 10 am.
