Anna Marie Arendt Sheneman died at 89 years of age on February 12, 2009 at Canyon Lake Rehabilitation Center. The Services will be on Tuesday, February 17th at 1:00 pm at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls located at 314 West 1st Avenue in Kennewick. Her brother-in-law, Howard Smith, will be officiating. By request, there will be no graveside services at the time of internment which will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Sheneman was born August 26, 1919 in Danzig, Germany now Gdansk, Poland to Willy and Ida Arendt. They came to America in January 1922 to a farming area close to Wolback, Nebraska. Later moved to Spalding, Nebraska where she attended high school. Marie went to Omaha where she met Elwyn, they were married in Joplin, Missouri on January 6, 1942. Their son, David Eugene, was born September 2, 1944 while Elwyn was overseas. They moved to Kennewick in 1947. Marie worked as a meat wrapper for 18 ½ years. After retiring she was a content housewife. Both Elwyn and Marie enjoyed being around home and loved each other dearly. Also preceded in death by her husband, Elwyn; her brother, Rudolph and sister, Patsy Ruth; and her parents, Willy and Ida Arendt. She will be missed by family, friends, and neighbors.
