Ann Tice passed away on Friday, February 26, 2010 in Kennewick, WA. She was born on June 26, 1930 to Emmett and Florence Fagan in Rutland, Vermont . She was a tomboy, who talked about BB gun fights, hitchhiking to the local ski area and spending wonderful summers at the family camp on Lake Sunset. After graduating from Mount St. Joseph High School, she attended nursing school in Burlington, Vt. where she met her first husband, Leonard Brosseau. Through his work as an electrical engineer, they lived in New York, San Diego, and Wyoming. While living in Wyoming, Mom?s first love unexpectedly passed away, leaving her with three babies under the age of 5. She returned to Vermont to be close to a supportive family. She was a great mom, who dedicated her life to raising happy children. She taught us to swim, ski and play ball, to love the outside and nature, to appreciate the love of pets, to embrace new experiences, and to enjoy the family and friends around us. During this time she took up the game of golf and subsequently met the second love of her life, Pete Tice. They were married in 1969 and moved to Plymouth, New Hampshire. Pete worked as a golf course superintendent at Waterville Valley Resort and the family spent 4 years there skiing and golfing before moving to Butte, Montana. Mom and Pete eventually settled in Kennewick, WA. where they have enjoyed golf, great friendships, family and grandchildren. Mom had a great life, she loved her work as an OB nurse and helped hundreds of women deliver new life into the world. She and Pete have traveled to Jamaica, Mexico, Hawaii, and Alaska. They spent many wonderful times in San Diego with Mom?s brother, Pat Fagan. They have played golf on some of the nicest golf courses in the country from Myrtle Beach to Cypress Point. She has enjoyed some tremendous friendships that have lasted for years, including Enee Bolin from elementary school, Pat, Rosemary and Ellen and Joe. Mom embraced life and enjoyed the world around her. She found beauty in nature, in the lines of a tree, the colors of a sunset, a bird at her feeder and a walk during a nighttime snowstorm. Later in life, she expressed her love of nature by creating artful watercolor paintings that decorate her home and are prized possessions of her friends and children. Having lost her first husband so early, her philosophy was to live her life fully and to discover and enjoy everything it had to offer. One of mom?s greatest achievements was having three happy children Rae, Peter and Lee, and marrying a great man and stepfather. Their children are productive, healthy and happy adults. She has four grandchildren. Tyler, Kelly, Mike and Steve all very different from each other but all so much like their grandma in different ways. While she has been sick, she has shown true courage. She has tried to remain upbeat and has inspired strength and inspiration in all of us around her. Although this time has been a scary journey her strong and committed Catholic faith has given her and her family such comfort and solace; heaven and the angels will welcome her She is survived by her husband, W. Peter Tice; children, Rae Graner, Peter Brosseau, and Lee Ann Morcotte; four grandchildren, brothers, Patrick Fagan and Dr. Emmet L.Fagan. On Eagles wings Mom. We will all miss you so much!
