Obituary

Alice L. Siegfried, our angel, was called home to be with The Lord on May 28, 2014. Alice was born to Fred & Margaret Simons in Edgewater, Colorado on April 17th, 1938. She was the eighth of eleven children plus four step-brothers and one step-sister. She married Roy E. Siegfried in 1961 and they moved to the Tri-Cities in 1975. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her parents; her brothers, Leonard, George, Bob and Harold and a sister, Mary Meints. Alice is survived by Ben R. Welch, her significant other and caregiver, her brothers Bill and Dick; her sisters Lucille, Ruth and Betty; stepdaughters Kathy Meints, Bonnie (Calvin) Gagnon, Belinda Welch, Cindy (Ken) Ellis; grandchildren Christine Meints, Carolyn Berry, Zachary and Austin Gagnon, Krysta and Kyle Beach; great-grandchildren Tessa, Lillian & Lucas Berry; many nieces and nephews; plus her special friends Jean (Rich) Card and Faye Kammenzind and lots of friends. Alice was active in many organizations, including a lifetime member of both the VFW and the American Legion. She also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge, the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Red Hat's Society. She was also a member of St. Joseph's Church in Kennewick. She retired from Energy Northwest after 23 years. She enjoyed dancing, music, sports and outdoor activities (fishing, hunting and camping). Alice was loved by everyone that met her. She had a contagious smile and a huge heart for all. Alice would do anything for anyone. She will be missed every day. As an animal lover and supporter of the Military, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Benton-Franklin Humane Society or the U.S.O. There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Loyal Order of the Moose, 2617 W. Sylvester St., in Pasco to celebrate Alice's life. Until we meet again. We love you!
