Lewis "Lou" Cousineau, a long time Pasco resident, lost his long battle with cancer on Saturday, November 17, 2012. He passed away in his home with loved ones beside him. He was 81 years old. Lou will be remembered as a loving husband to his wife Nora (Garza) Cousineau, and faith-filed servant of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born on February 16, 1931, in Wenatchee, Washington, to his parents, Albert A. and Eleanora "Helen" (Nicholas) Cousineau. From the time he was very young, he enjoyed flying airplanes, riding motorcycles, and fishing. Later in life he would become a pilot, flying two aircraft of his own along with owning and riding nearly a dozen motorcycles and one boat. A dedicated and active member of Faith Assembly Church of Pasco for 45 years, Lou served as an elder and Bible teacher. He traveled extensively with church groups on 27 short-term missions to Central and South American, Eastern Europe, Africa, and China, building churches, orphanages, and schools. Lou was the founder and owner of Lou's Irrigation Welding for over 45 years. He served his many customers with the installation and maintenance of thousands of miles of irrigation pipe throughout Eastern Washington and Oregon. Lou is survived by his wife Nora; son Kevin Cousineau (Ann) of Ridgecrest, California, daughters Krista Campion (Chris) of San Diego, California and Kathi Cousineau of Prescott, Arizona, sisters Bernice Estrada of Colorado Springs, Marge Lane of Pasco, Bea Stamper (Paul) of Clarkston, Washington, and Marie Ping (Don) of LaCross, Washington. In addition, Lou was blessed and dearly loved though out his later years by numerous stepchildren including Mike McWhorter (Pam), of Richland, David McWhorter (Shiela) of Pasco, Linda Lawless (Scott), of Pasco, Edward Garza (Elia), Erica L. Garza, of Pasco, Michelle Nisbett (Gareth) of Kennewick, along with step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation and viewing will be on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick on Union Street. The Celebration of Life/Memorial Service will be on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at 11:30 a.m., at Faith Assembly Christian Center, Road 72, Pasco, with a private burial prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Assembly Church, MAPS (Mission) Program, Pasco, Washington, or the charity of your choice.
